ITC Limited has hired a technology leader – Gaurav Kataria as the Vice President Digital (Manufacturing) and Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO, Paperboards and Speciality Paper Division).
Kataria, prior to joining ITC Limited, was the CDIO at Sai Life Sciences Ltd for three years, where he drove the digital and IT strategy in line with its vision and growth globally. He was responsible for digital transformation, business process improvement, good laboratory practice (GLP), computer system validation and good manufacturing practice (GMP). Across digital transformation, technology, consulting, marketing and strategy, he has more than two decades of experience. He has strong operations capabilities and the ability to drive large strategic programs across globally dispersed teams. He specializes in strategy, consulting, marketing, sales, innovation, IT outsourcing, program/project/people management, full Product development lifecycle and planning and execution.
Gaurav is an engineer with a master’s degree from BITS, Pilani, and executive business education from Harvard Business School, Boston, MA. He has published two papers in the areas of information management and driving customer satisfaction and has won multiple awards for his extraordinary work over the span of his career. Kataria has been a mentor to three startups and was part of the mentor panel at MindSphere Consulting. He was an invited member of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) National Innovation Committee for two years and has extensive exposure to quality standards (ISO, CMMI, ITIL) and Six Sigma.
