Reliance Jio has introduced JioFiber Backup, a new internet user plan. Those who require a backup broadband connection in case their primary internet connection breaks down or needs maintenance are the target audience for the new service. The telecommunication company also provides consumers with a way to temporarily improve their internet speed in accordance with their needs. The backup plan consists of a recharge of Rs. 1,490, which will provide users with five months of service (Rs. 990), installation fees (Rs. 500), and an entertainment upgrade at Rs. 100/200 per month for five months, which will grant them access to up to 550 live TV channels, 14 OTT apps, and YouTube.

In addition to other content, such as live sports, viewers will be able to stream the upcoming Tata IPL event uninterruptedly with the backup broadband connection starting at the end of this month.
