Western Digital Corp is looking into a network security incident as parts of its business operations were disrupted because of a breach in some systems, the data storage devices maker said on Monday.

Western Digital is working to understand the nature and scope of that data, which has been obtained by the unauthorized party from the company’s systems, Western Digital said in a statement.

Including taking systems and services offline, Western Digital is implementing measures to secure the operations as the network security incident may cause further disruption to its business, the company said.

Following its own investigation with outside security and forensic experts, it is also working with law enforcement authorities, the company said.
