Seven Indian businesses with a focus on generative AI have been chosen by Amazon Web Services (AWS) for their worldwide accelerator program. Seven Indian businesses are included in the 80 companies that AWS has selected for its worldwide AI program: Convrse, House of Models, Neural Garage, Orbo.ai, Phot.ai, Unscript AI, and Zocket.

A look at what these startups are up to:

  • Convrse: Anshul Padyal, Vishesh Khatri, and Vikrant Singh founded this AI-based application in 2021 with the goal of optimizing complicated 3D objects or scenarios for online or real-time use. The startup claims to be the first intelligent 3D mesh optimizer in the world and supports businesses in industries including gaming, architecture, manufacturing, healthcare, and simulations.
  • House of Models: With its headquarters located in Bengaluru, House of Models creates digital material for companies and enterprises, such as photos, videos, and product descriptions, by utilizing diffusion models and large language models (LLMs).
  • Neural Garage: This startup offers seamless viewing without sacrificing the cinematic experience by using GenAI to lipsynch actors with dubbed audio in movies, streaming, commercials, and television.
  • AI: This Mumbai-based firm was established in 2019 and leverages GenAI to offer hyper-personalization and contextual search solutions to the personal care and beauty industries. The firm, which was founded in 2019 by Manoj Shinde, Danish Jamil, and Abhit Sinha, provides data insights on facial features, skin tone, and anomalies to produce personalized outcomes.
  • AI: Founded in 2022 by Venus Dhuria and Akshit Raja, Phot.ai is an AI-powered platform that streamlines graphic design and photo editing with a range of solutions for e-commerce companies to maximize their operations.
  • Unscript AI: A software as a service (SaaS) marketing platform that employs generative alpha to produce studio-quality videos with virtual or real actors without the time or expense of actual filming. Ritwika Chowdhury launched it in 2021 with the intention of enabling businesses to produce more customized and memorable client experiences.
  • Zocket: Using generative AI for ad design, targeting, and analytics, Zocket streamlines digital advertising for businesses of all sizes, making campaign management and optimization simple. The company was founded in 2021 by Karthik Venkateswaran, Mukund Srivathsan, Nandan Kumar Ravi, and Sundar Natesan.
About the AWS GenAI Accelerator Programme

The chosen businesses will get AWS credits worth up to $1 million to help with the development, testing, training, and deployment of their generative AI solutions. The tools for creating and implementing generative AI applications, Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock, are eligible for credit. The startups can also take advantage of AWS compute, storage, and database technologies, as well as AI chips like AWS Trainium and AWS Inferentia 2, to promote their growth and advance their use of ML & AI technology, the company stated.

“At AWS, our $230 million commitment and global expansion of the generative AI accelerator reflects our continued focus on supporting startups to develop, build, and scale their unique ideas using generative AI,” said Amitabh Nagpal, head, startup business development, AWS India.

As part of AWS’s $230 million pledge to advance Gen AI-driven applications globally, a 10-week program was announced in June.
