Microsoft India unveils solution to help automate repetitive tasks

Microsoft India released on Monday a public preview of the Power Automate Desktop, a new desktop-based solution that lets companies automate routine, manual activities.

New Delhi: Microsoft India revealed on Monday a public preview of its Power Automate Desktop, a new desktop-based solution that lets companies automate routine, manual activities.

Part of the Microsoft Power Automation service, this Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solution is designed to extend low-code automation capabilities for enterprises, Microsoft said.

From easy data transfers to complicated enterprise workflows, this approach allows coders and non-coders to automate processes and activities through desktop and mobile systems with minimal effort from a single smart platform.

“With Microsoft Power Automate Desktop, we seek to enable enterprises to automate activities around the desktop and the web, using an automated framework to complete tasks at speed and scale,” said Irina Ghose, Executive Director-Cloud Computing, Microsoft India.

“It allows companies to liberate their information employees from time-consuming and tedious jobs and to concentrate on strategic activities to provide higher value to consumers.”

Microsoft said Power Automate Desktop’s intuitive design environment helps non-coders to easily automate processes without writing a single line of code.

Power Automate Workspace manages both Supported RPA (repetitive functions such as front-office activities) and Unattended RPA (back-office processes) with equal performance, Microsoft said.

The solution is available in English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish worldwide.

Earlier this year, Microsoft acquired Softomotive, a London-based RPA solution provider, to extend the low-code, robotic process automation capabilities of Microsoft Power Automate, improving the capacity of everyone to automate processes.
