Bengaluru, December 27, 2023: Tata Steel has been recognized as one of the ‘Top 50 Innovative Companies of the Year’ by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) at the CII ‘Technology Conclave and Innovation Awards,’ 2023 ceremony, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation.

Tata Steel’s recent pilot trial of hydrogen injection in blast furnaces to reduce CO2 footprint played an important role in the company winning this award. The successful trial validated the potential to reduce the coke rate by 10%, translating into a 7–10% reduction in CO2 emissions per ton of crude steel produced.
