As the Business Development and Technology Leader (Americas) for Aether, Dr. Ringer has already been employed with the company for three years.
Dr. James (Jim) W. Ringer has been named Aether Industries Limited’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective March 1, 2024.
As the Business Development and Technology Leader (Americas) for Aether, Dr. Ringer has already been employed with the company for three years. Prior to this, Dr. Ringer worked for the Dow Chemical Company (USA) for more than 30 years in research and development.
He began working at Dow in 1988, and from 1989 until 2001, he was responsible for developing new product processes for Dow AgroSciences. Leader of Process Sciences (2002), Dow AgroSciences New Products Development Leader (2002), Senior Technical Leader for Process Sciences (2004), and Director of Process Chemistry & Development (2010) were among the positions he held after that at Dow.
He served as the Dow Core R&D organization’s Director of Engineering & Process Science from 2011 to 2018, leading teams in the creation and application of technology for a variety of industries, including electronics, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, polymers, specialty chemicals, and hydrocarbon feedstocks.
The company produced a 10x return on the R&D expenditure (> $100 MM annually) at this time.
He joined Corteva AgriScience as the Process Development, BioProcessing, and BioEngineering Leader following the Dow-DuPont merger and spinoff. Dr. Ringer co-invented 22 US patents that have been awarded internationally. He holds degrees in organic chemistry from Purdue University (B.S.) and University of Wisconsin (Ph.D.).
