Rachana Bahadur joins Synchrony as SVP & Country Head - India

Bahadur’s new position would entail overseeing and controlling Synchrony’s entire operations in India.

Rachana Bahadur was named Senior Vice President and Country Head – India by Synchrony, a consumer financial services firm, on Wednesday.

Bahadur has worked in the banking and financial services sectors for more than 30 years. She has worked in high international leadership roles in the US, Asia, and Europe for the past eighteen years.

Bahadur co-led the India Asset and Wealth Management Division and was a member of the pan-India operations leadership team at Goldman Sachs prior to joining Synchrony. She had previously been employed by Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase.

Bahadur’s new position would entail overseeing and controlling Synchrony’s entire operations in India. According to a release, she is responsible for creating and carrying out a strategic plan that will improve process excellence, ownership, deliberate transformation, and the cultivation of a collaborative culture at Synchrony India.

Bahadur is a Certified Public Accountant and a graduate of Baruch College in New York with a BBA.
