To further solidify its position as a global leader in technological innovation, the Dubai government has appointed 22 Chief AI Officers (CAIOs) to various government departments.

In an effort to strengthen its standing as a pioneer in technology innovation worldwide, the government of Dubai has recruited 22 Chief AI Officers (CAIOs) to various government agencies. This calculated move demonstrates Dubai’s resolve to use artificial intelligence (AI) to transform public services, optimize processes, and stimulate regional economic growth. As part of its larger goal to become a global leader in government innovation, Dubai is dedicated to creating a groundbreaking model for AI-enabled government operations, according to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai. This commitment is made under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.

Leading the Way in AI Leadership The Chief AI Officers appointed by Dubai demonstrate a progressive approach to incorporating AI into governmental operations. Every CAIO will take the lead in implementing AI technologies that improve public safety, healthcare, education, and transportation, among other areas, as well as decision-making processes and resource allocation.

The Judicial Council, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment, Dubai Government Human Resources Department, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Department of Finance in Dubai, Public Prosecution, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University, Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai Department of Culture & Arts Authority, Dubai Data and Statistics Establishment, Dubai Health Authority, Public Prosecution, and Protocol Department in Dubai are just a few of the government organizations that the newly appointed Chief AI Officers represent throughout the city of Dubai.
