The United Kingdom and India jointly announced the launch of a new technology security initiative aimed at promoting telecom security cooperation, boosting economic growth, and creating investment possibilities in cutting-edge technologies.
Britain announced on Wednesday that it had started a new technology security initiative with India with the goal of encouraging cooperation on telecom security, increasing economic growth, and opening up investment opportunities in cutting-edge technologies. The deal, according to the British government, will increase the two nations’ collaborative efforts on crucial technologies, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and semiconductors. “Taking on the challenges of the future, from AI to critical minerals, will require serious collaboration.” During a visit to India, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said in a statement issued by his office, “Together we can unlock mutual growth, boost innovation, jobs, and investment.”
After meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the country’s Minister of External Affairs earlier on Wednesday, Lammy also decided to intensify collaboration with India in the fight against climate change. This would involve raising funds and launching a collaboration on offshore wind and green hydrogen projects.
