Apple will not issue future software updates for the iPhone and iPad at the same time as promised artificial intelligence features, reports claim.
Apple (AAPL.O) launches future software updates for the iPhone and iPad will not coincide with the initial release of planned artificial intelligence features, according to a story published on Sunday. According to the story, which cited people with knowledge of the situation, the iPhone manufacturer intends to start distributing Apple Intelligence to consumers as part of software updates that will be available by October. A few weeks after the original September releases of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, AI functionality will be available.
The article also stated that Apple intends to make Apple Intelligence available to software developers for early testing as soon as this week through betas of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1. An inquiry for comment sent to Apple outside of regular business hours was not immediately answered. To boost declining sales, Apple highlighted its AI drive in June by releasing a plethora of new features and software updates for its iPhone and other devices.
With its M1 chip and later generations, the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPad, and Mac will all be able to employ Apple Intelligence, which uses AI to create text, photos, and other material on command.
