AWS launches GenAI Loft to foster innovation for startups in Bengaluru

The GenAI Loft, after Bengaluru, will travel to San Francisco, Sao Paulo, London, and Paris as part of its travel-based residency program.

On July 29, Bengaluru saw the opening of GenAI Loft, a two-week pop-up event by Amazon Web Services (AWS) with the goal of promoting creativity and community in the rapidly developing field of generative artificial intelligence technology. Visitors can see the loft through August 9.

“The GenAI Loft is designed to provide a dedicated space for builders and innovators to learn, ideate, and gain hands-on experience in leveraging the transformative potential of generative AI. The GenAI Loft will also offer networking opportunities to connect with startups, investors, AWS experts, and our partners. This initiative emphasizes AWS’s commitment to fuelling the next wave of AI-driven innovation by democratizing access to generative AI technology worldwide,” said Kumara Raghavan, Head, Startups, AWS India and South Asia.

Collaborative pop-up spaces will be introduced to major AI hotspots worldwide by the AWS GenAI loft. According to Raghavan, it will also provide guests with a special forum to learn about and investigate practical uses of generative AI in a variety of industries.

“They will learn about the latest generative AI models and services through workshops, hands-on training sessions, AWS and partner demos, and networking with AI experts and thought leaders. We are excited to commence the global tour of the AWS GenAI Loft in Bengaluru, a hub for AI innovation in the country.”

He stated that the top AI startups in India will be at the Bengaluru edition. AWS partners Shellkode, Datastax, Ganit, Cloudthat, Ankercloud, Rapyder, and GoML will also be showcasing their generative AI pitches. With the launch of AWS GenAI Lofts, AWS is further extending its previous USD 230 million commitment to support entrepreneurs worldwide in their development of generative AI apps. The GenAI Loft, after Bengaluru, will travel to San Francisco, Sao Paulo, London, and Paris as part of its travel-based residency program.
