Loug, August 2024: Shaukat Ali Khan, originally from Gilgit-Baltistan, has been appointed as the Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO) for the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), one of the largest NHS boards in the UK, overseeing a vast network of health services and over 100,000 employees.
With more than 20 years of international experience, Shaukat has held pivotal leadership roles across healthcare, education, and pharmaceuticals. His impressive career includes leading digital transformation initiatives at the University of Central Asia and Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S, along with significant contributions at organizations such as UNICEF, Lockheed Martin, Marriott International, and Siemens.
Despite his new role, Shaukat will continue to serve as an ‘Advisor to the President for ICT Services’ at Aga Khan University, where he currently holds the position of Global Chief Information Officer, spanning Asia, Africa, and the United Kingdom. His appointment to the NHS West Yorkshire ICB was the result of a comprehensive recruitment process, engaging various stakeholders from across West Yorkshire.
