Reliance Jio to challenge other big tech firms in India with its AI Strategy

Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio is advancing artificial intelligence (AI) and could challenge more established rivals.

Apple’s iCloud and Google One’s dominance in India could be challenged by Reliance Jio’s AI services, which include 100GB of free cloud storage. By using call recording and transcription tools, the company hopes to gather speech data and eventually build large Indic datasets for AI model training.

In order to lower the cost of inferencing and training AI models, Reliance Jio intends to construct a large data center that is suited for AI in Jamnagar, Gujarat. This massive data center will run entirely on renewable energy and be equipped with artificial intelligence.

The huge size of this project means that it might have the same capacity as 195 other data centers in India put together. It will likely need a large investment, according to the business.

By providing competitive pricing and capabilities for Indian firms, the company’s entry into the cloud industry may give a desi option to global giants.
