Nitin Kumar has been appointed as the Chief Analytics Officer of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. Kumar offers a wealth of experience to the position and strengthens the bank’s strategic capabilities in utilizing data-driven insights thanks to his extensive history spanning more than 15 years in data science and analytics.
Kumar was the National Head of Data Science & Engineering at Bajaj Finserv before joining Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. Throughout his employment, he oversaw projects that gave the company’s lending division—especially in the rural market—vital data-driven answers. Significant positions at Standard Chartered Bank and Citi where he focused on portfolio analytics, customer insights, and data-driven strategy across a range of financial products and markets are also part of his vast experience.
Kumar will be the driving force behind the creation of an Advanced Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) at Ujjivan Small Finance Bank in his new position. His goal is to improve the customer experience and drive creative ideas by utilizing advanced data. In order to achieve Ujjivan’s strategic goals, his track record of producing significant analytical solutions and cultivating strong stakeholder relationships will be essential.
Kumar has a master’s degree in data science from Liverpool John Moores University and an MBA in general management from XLRI Jamshedpur. His educational background and real-world experience work well together, enabling him to make a meaningful contribution to Ujjivan Small Finance Bank’s expansion and innovation.
