Martin Walker appointed as CTO of Rodeo FX

Martin Walker has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) by Rodeo FX. Martin has over 20 years of experience in prominent technology roles and is known for having a visionary spirit in the industry. With the recent completion of Dwayne Johnson’s latest film Red One and the second season of The Rings of Power on Amazon Prime Video, Martin brings valuable expertise to support Rodeo FX in technology innovation and visual effects production.

Martin started out in the robotics industry and has since amassed a vast amount of experience. Especially at SoftImage, where he contributed to the development of the first state-of-the-art 3D tools. During the early stages of Unreal and Unity, he oversaw the team developing a multiplatform game engine as CTO at Behavior Interactive. Over 120 games will use this technology, which includes Disney and Universal licenses.

He went on to lead teams on important projects at Fuel Industries and Digital Dimension, including the anthology Kizazi Moto for Disney+. He joined Rodeo FX because of his imaginative approach and proficiency in integrating new technologies. He initially focused on streamlining the technology pipeline before assuming the position of CTO.

“I’m delighted to be joining Rodeo FX, a company I’ve long admired for its creative and technical excellence,” said Martin Walker. “VFX has always fascinated me, and this opportunity to work with such a talented team in a field I love is truly exciting.”

He will keep implementing his vision at Rodeo FX to take advantage of the most recent developments in VFX production, making sure that these advancements are in line with the team’s daily operating requirements.

“Innovation has always been a crucial aspect of our industry,” says Sébastien Moreau, president and founder of Rodeo FX. It is with someone like Martin, who has always been able to anticipate new trends and propose innovative solutions, that we will be able to continue to push the boundaries and remain at the forefront of creative excellence in the visual effects field.”
