Dwarka Police's cyber cell arrest eight people from Gujarat and Rajasthan

Eight persons from Rajasthan and Gujarat have been taken into custody as part of an operation by the Dwarka Police’s Cyber Cell on suspicion of participating in a number of cybercrimes. The suspects’ bank accounts contain an amount of around Rs 2.5 crore, which is purported to represent the profits of crime.

The defendants were discovered to have engaged in a number of heinous schemes, including fraudulent online part-time job schemes, online stock market investing scams, and deceptive room booking scams.

Sunil (age 24) of Jaipur, Pushpendra Kumar (age 21) of Alwar, Pawan Saini (age 28) of Jaipur, Maharaj Singh (age 26) of Bharatpur, Solanki Kiran Bhai (age 36) of Vadodara, Mandeep Kaswan (age 22) of Churu, Vikas Kumar (age 36) of Churu, and Lalu Prasad (age 36) of Churu are the eight people detained.

The suspects lured their unsuspecting victims with fraudulent online part-time job opportunities, enticed them with online stock market investment scams that promised enormous returns, and tricked them with fake room booking scams at Patanjali Wellness Centre. Police found eight cell phones and eight SIM cards during the operation. DCP Ankit Singh and ACP Ram Avtar of the Cyber Police Station in the Dwarka district oversaw the operation.
