MTN Uganda Appoints Thomas Motlepa as CTIO

Three new members of MTN Uganda’s executive committee have been revealed, including Thomas Motlepa, who will serve as the group’s Chief Technology and Information Officer (CTIO).

The other appointments are Peace Kabatangare Zulu as the General Manager of Internal Audit and Forensics and Franklin Kano Ocharo as the General Manager of Growth and New Business.

With more than 20 years of expertise in the telecom industry and a track record of accomplishments in engineering and technical leadership, Motlepa is the new CTIO at MTN Uganda. He has experience with top telecom firms, having held prominent leadership positions in several MTN markets, including MTN Ghana, MTN Zambia, and MTN Nigeria. His areas of expertise were network optimization, digital transformation, and cutting-edge technological solutions.

His broad background in project management and strategic planning has given him a profound grasp of the demands of customers and the state of technology.

“As CTIO, Thomas will drive our mission to provide exceptional connectivity and services to our customers. His commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technology will be pivotal in enhancing our network capabilities and ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the telecom industry in Uganda,” MTN Uganda said in a LinkedIn post.
