Google Gemini could soon receive a new image scaling option

The AI chatbot’s Imagen 3, the company’s newest text-to-image large language model, was recently modified by Google Gemini, the company’s response to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Even though Gemini is already proficient at creating graphics from scratch, the results are consistently unsatisfactory.

But according to a recent claim by Android Authority, Gemini might soon let users create photographs with the resolution of their choice. The publication was able to activate an under-development feature during a teardown of the Google app’s Gemini version 15.41.34.29 beta that enabled them to resize the images produced by Gemini in aspect ratios such as 16:9, 4:3, and 3:4. This is very helpful if you want to use an AI-generated image as a wallpaper or share it on social media.

It turns out that instead of cropping the output image, Gemini returns to the source image and enhances it with more details. The chatbot will also be able to fill in the blanks around the subject and reduce it down, much like Adobe’s Generative Fill function.

Recently, Google was observed testing a brand-new Gemini feature that lets users easily alter a selected portion of the created image. Users may be able to utilise Gemini as an image editing tool as a result of this and the next feature. You may have to wait a while before you can set AI-generated images as wallpapers, though, as it is currently unclear if and when the additional aspect ratio options will be available.

Similar to ChatGPT’s advanced speech mode, Google began making Gemini Live available to all users last month. This feature allows users to have a discussion with the AI-powered chatbot.
