The operator stopped access to the public-facing environment while it looked into the breach, but it was certain that none of its systems had been compromised.
“Cisco will engage directly with customers if we determine they have been impacted by this event,” the company said in an update.
Last week, three hackers, led by the infamous IntelBroker, obtained Cisco data and shared photos of customer management interfaces and other samples on forums.

The hackers say they were able to escape with a wealth of information, including source code, SSL certificates, API tokens, buckets from AWS and Microsoft Azure, and more.

But according to Cisco, the hackers only released a “small number of files that were not authorized for public download.”
“As of now, we have not observed any confidential information such as sensitive PII or financial data to be included but continue to investigate to confirm,” the company said.
IntelBroker stated that a leaked API token allowed them to enter a Cisco third-party developer environment.
Since then, Cisco has decided to suspend DevHub access “out of an abundance of caution.”
