CEO of Nvidia Introduces a New Model for AI in Hindi at the Ai Summit 2024, Saying It's the Hardest Language to Map
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated at the Nvidia AI Summit in Mumbai that the AI computing behemoth Nvidia is creating an AI model for the Hindi language.

“India is the hardest regional language model area in the world. Once Hindi is figured out, we can do it for any other country,” he said.

Released as an NVIDIA NIM microservice, the AI model is a small language model. The Nemotron-4-Mini-Hindi-4B model is its name. For optimal performance, it can be installed on any PC with NVIDIA GPU acceleration.

The first company to deploy the model is Tech Mahindra, an IT company that created Indus 2.0, an AI model that focuses on Hindi and dozens of its varieties.

According to the business, NVIDIA NeMo is being used by innovators, large corporations, and international systems integrators throughout India to create tailored language models. Several businesses are utilising the approach, including Sarvam AI, Gnani.ai, Flipkart, Krutrim, and Zoho.

Systems integrators in India are also providing their clients with NVIDIA NeMo-accelerated solutions. The firms that have been implementing the approach for a variety of business operations are Infosys, TCS, and Wipro. “Wipro, Infosys will help take Nvidia’s AI models to the globe,” Huang stated during the summit.

Jensen Huang on India

In his speech, the CEO of Nvidia stated that although India currently exports software, it would soon export artificial intelligence.

Energy is required for the infrastructure required to build AI. The manufacturing of intelligence will be a new industry in the future. He added that the creation of AI will usher in a new industrial revolution.

“India was focused on delivery of software but the next generation will be about the delivery of AI, these are fundamentally different. I don’t know if anyone else has the ability that India has to help every single country of the world to enjoy the benefits of AI,” Huang said.
