Kohler South Asia promotes Deep Sen to the position of head of entire IT & Digital Experience function

Deep Sen has been elevated to head the entire IT & Digital Experience function for Kohler South Asia. For the past 2 years, he has been working as a general manager, IT, at Kohler, driving digital excellence and spearheading a transformative agenda to improve consumer experiences. Now, his mandate is to steer the organization towards a digital future by pioneering value-creation avenues through digital tools and processes along with leveraging technology to redefine consumer experiences and operational efficiency.

Deep holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA FT) from Purdue University, USA. Deep’s academic background, a blend of engineering and business, provides him with a holistic perspective.

Deep’s 16-year journey, a testament to his versatility and strategic acumen, is a story of evolution from a software developer to a visionary executive. His early years at Infosys laid the foundation, equipping him with a deep understanding of the IT ecosystem. However, it was his stint at Whirlpool Corp. that truly shaped his career trajectory. The 3-year leadership development program at their headquarters in Michigan, USA, along with a challenging role in innovation and competitive strategy, truly exposed him to not only different facets of IT along with embedding leadership skills but also enabled the innovation mindset. From there on, Deep’s journey in the IT sector was marked by progressive responsibilities and notable achievements; after 10 years of stint in the US, he relocated back to India, leading the entire technology application portfolio as a BRM/Business Partner for India & Southeast Asia markets and truly ensuring digital footprints across the business functions for these markets. There, he was immersed in a crucible of digital transformation, steering large-scale projects and crafting long-term technology roadmaps for the markets and region.

He was recently recognized as a 40 under 40 India 2024 leader by World Brand Affairs through leading publishing houses in India.

Looking ahead, Deep envisions a future where IT is not just a support function but a strategic partner and trusted advisor having a seat in the CEO’s office. He advocates for a proactive role for IT where the core principle should be to drive innovation and create new opportunities for technology intervention while moving away from the traditional order-taking role. This vision is not just aspirational; it’s a practical roadmap for businesses navigating the complexities of the digital landscape.
