Vi, a telecom provider, has revealed a major advancement in spam protection for its customers. The business is launching an AI and ML-powered spam management solution. Through a machine-based automated solution, this new solution is intended to proactively identify and flag any spam communications, assisting Vi users in maintaining a safe and clutter-free mobile experience. Over 24 million spam mails have already been reported by the system since its initial testing phase.

Vi’s Spam SMS solution will protect clients by instantly detecting and handling unwelcome and potentially dangerous text, as spam messages are becoming more prevalent and are frequently used as a doorway to scams.

To further safeguard its users from unsolicited calls, Vi is always developing methods to stop spam, including phone calls, as part of its larger commitment to consumer safety and experience. These steps are in addition to a number of other current practices and solutions, such as whitelisting URLs in brand communications and making the mobile app URL easy to use for submitting spam complaints by enabling automatic pick-up of spam content (SMS), sender number, and date. Along with UCC (Unsolicited Commercial Communication) identification, which detects bulk call patterns (such as calls from a single number to numerous other numbers) and restricts their use to prevent future misuse, Vi also makes use of intelligent customer feedback and complaints.
