Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (M&M Finance), a prominent non-banking financial company in India, has announced the appointment of Pradeep Kumar Agrawal as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel. Agrawal’s appointment will be effective March 5, 2025. This follows a four-month gap in the CFO position, which was left vacant after the resignation of Vivek Karve in June 2024. Karve continued in his role until the end of October 2024.
Agrawal brings over 28 years of rich experience in financial management, having held leadership roles at renowned organizations such as the Aditya Birla Group and Bharat Petroleum. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), and Cost & Works Accountant (CWA).
Until Agrawal assumes his role, Animesh Chatterjee, who is currently serving as Head of Treasury, will take over as Interim CFO from January 29, 2025, through March 4, 2025, ensuring a smooth transition and uninterrupted financial leadership.
Chatterjee, a Chartered Accountant and Commerce graduate, is an alumnus of University of Cambridge and has further honed his leadership skills at Cambridge Judge Business School and MIT Sloan School of Management. With over 24 years of experience in finance, Chatterjee has been leading the Treasury function at M&M Finance since July 2024. His earlier professional experiences include key roles at SMFG, India Infoline, Blue Star, and SREI.
This appointment underscores Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services’ commitment to leadership continuity and the continued growth of the organization.
