London, United Kingdom, January 2025: John Woollacott has been named Chief Financial Officer, Europe at DP World, marking a significant advancement in his 18-year tenure with the global trade enabler. In this role, John will drive financial strategy and operational excellence across DP World’s European operations, contributing to the company’s mission to revolutionize global trade.
John has dedicated nearly two decades to DP World, consistently rising through the ranks. Most recently, he served as CFO & Head of Business Development – DP World Europe, where he was instrumental in shaping financial strategies and advancing business growth initiatives across the region.
Prior to that, he was Head of Ports and Terminals – DP World Europe, leading operational enhancements and regional integration for two years. His previous role as Senior Vice President – Corporate Finance & Business Development saw him spearhead global financing and development projects from DP World’s headquarters in Dubai.
John began his journey with DP World as Director of Finance, Europe and North Africa Region, managing financial operations across multiple geographies. Earlier in his career, John worked at P&O Ports, serving in roles such as Commercial Director, Europe and Africa Region and General Manager of Corporate Finance. His foundational expertise was honed at EY as an accountant and during his tenure as a solicitor at Dunhill Madden Butler.
