AI Solutions for Visually Impaired, AI Search and AI Agents Win ISG Startup Challenges

Audiences vote Artha France, Scrunch AI and Instruct top tech pitches at ISG events in Paris, Dallas and London

STAMFORD, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE): AI-powered solutions for addressing visual impairments, optimizing brands for AI search and creating AI agents won the ISG Startup Challenges at recent events in Paris, Dallas and London hosted by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a leading global technology research and advisory firm.

Artha France was voted the winner of the startup challenge at ISG SourceIT, December 11–12 in Paris. Rémi du Chalard, president, pitched the Artha France approach to leveraging AI computer vision to develop solutions for visually impaired people. He bested the presentations of Hugo Molas, co-founder and CPO of HermineIA, an AI assistant for legal professionals, and Alexandre David, CEO, Heptalytics, an AI-powered platform that scans payment behaviors to spot fraud.

Audience members at the ISG Digital Business Summit, November 13–15 in Dallas, voted for Scrunch AI, which identifies content gaps, misinformation and outdated data that impact AI search performance. Scrunch AI CEO Chris Andrew competed against Peeyush Rai, founder and CEO of weav.ai, which produces GenAI copilots to improve insurance underwriting and claims; Rajesh Mishra, co-founder and CEO of A5G Networks, which leverages AI-native core software and tools to transform networks, and Erik Laird, vice president of FireCompass, Inc., an AI-powered platform that continuously monitors an organization’s entire attack surface.

“ISG research finds companies are shifting their AI focus from gaining efficiency to augmenting human expertise,” said Karen Healy, partner, ISG Events and Enterprise Research. “In this period of rapid growth, platforms like the ones offered by our ISG Startup Challenge contestants are not only helping businesses collect, curate and manage data for AI models, they are moving into entirely new applications and aiming to make meaningful improvements to healthcare and the quality of our daily lives.”

At the ISG AI Impact Summit, September 9–10, at the Park Plaza Victoria London, Matt Falconer, CEO of AI agent creation platform Instruct emerged the winner, competing against David Sully, CEO, Advai, which assesses AI failures so clients can improve their AI systems’ trustworthiness, and James Drayson, CEO and co-founder of Appella AI, which develops ethical and responsible conversational AI for the customer service, cybersecurity, legal and healthcare sectors.

“The ability for people to interact with AI in a natural way has businesses pushing for customer-facing, commercial uses and focusing on building long-term strategies for AI,” Healy said. “ISG Startup Challenges are a unique opportunity for the entrepreneurs who are creating the next generation of AI platforms to connect with the businesses that are eager to leverage them.”
