DMRC managing director Vikas Kumar said that the metro has always kept up with technological improvements.

In order to increase the effectiveness of crowd control and train maintenance in its phase-IV project, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) plans to use artificial intelligence, according to officials.

DMRC managing director Vikas Kumar said that the metro has always kept up with technological improvements.

“Driverless metro is a product of the rapid evolution of technology. One stage where you don’t need crew or crew scheduling is driverless. The train can only be started and moved with a single button click,” Kumar stated.

Additional functions, such as CCTV camera surveillance and facial recognition, were mentioned by Kumar. Additionally, he stated that crowd control using cameras and other technology will surely be used in the future.
