Airtel has partnered with Sparkle To enhance capacity on the low-latency route connecting Italy and India

The world’s first international service provider in Italy, Sparkle, and telecom giant Bharti Airtel’s B2B division, Airtel Business, have reached a deal for more capacity on a diversified low-latency route connecting Asia and Europe.

In accordance with the deal, Airtel would replace Sparkle’s capacity on the Blue-Raman submarine cable systems, which will link Italy and India.

In order to meet the rising demand for data services in India and its neighboring countries, Airtel will further diversify its global network over different international submarine cable networks with this additional capacity. Using their separate cable infrastructures, the two businesses have also decided to collaborate on the creation of new business prospects and projects in the Indian subcontinent.

Through satellite networks, subterranean cables, and international networks that cover more than 4,000 thousand kilometers (including IRU) and 50 nations on five continents, Airtel Business offers ICT services. Through connections with more than 1200 global carriers, the company offers its customers global connectivity, even to remote and difficult-to-reach locations.

Airtel Business provides corporations, governments, carriers, and small and medium-sized businesses in India with a comprehensive variety of solutions, including secure connections, cloud and data center services, cyber security, and lot and cloud-based communications.

What the companies said about the new deal?

Vani Venkatesh, CEO, Global Business, Airtel Business, said, “We are happy to partner with Sparkle as we further consolidate our leadership in global connectivity. This partnership will further diversify our network with large integrated capacities to meet the ever-growing connectivity needs and data demand of our customers.”

Enrico Bagnasco, CEO of Sparkle, added, “We are very pleased with this agreement, based on the new solution provided by Blue & Raman, that supports the digital growth of the region and strengthens our historical partnership with Bharti Airtel.”
