Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.O.) announced on Tuesday that it was investigating rumors that a cybercriminal group had hacked the company and taken its data.
“We are working closely with law enforcement officials and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the claim and the significance of the data,” the company stated in a statement.
Media sources state that a company by the name of “Intelbroker” carried out a data breach involving AMD.
According to the sources, the breach affects a wide range of sensitive data, including information on upcoming products, client databases, and financial records.
AMD’s stock was slightly down during extended trading.
