Apple joins US voluntary program to reduce AI dangers, White House states

The United States government declared on Friday that Apple Inc. (AAPL.O) and fifteen other businesses have pledged to prevent the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI).

The White House announced on Friday that Apple Inc. (AAPL.O) has joined 15 other companies in pledging to ensure that artificial intelligence (AI) is not exploited for harmful purposes. Apple also signed U.S. President Joe Biden’s voluntary pledges governing AI. Among the companies that signed up to the initial commitments, which were made public in July 2023, were Google and Microsoft (MSFT.O), an OpenAI partner. Eight additional companies in September: Adobe (ADBE.O), IBM (IBM.N), Nvidia (NVDA.O), and others.
