Ashutosh Gupta, LinkedIn Marketing Solutions’ Head of Online Sales and Country Manager for India and APAC, has declared his intention to leave the company by the end of April. Gupta announced his intention to take a career sabbatical before starting new projects. Over the past ten years, Gupta has played a significant role in developing LinkedIn’s footprint in India.
During his remarkable 11 years at LinkedIn, Gupta has had a significant impact on the company’s direction. Under his leadership, India saw a number of significant milestones, such as the launch of the Hindi language function to improve member experiences and the rapid expansion of LinkedIn’s user base, which surpassed 100 million members.

Gupta’s career highlights include two decades of expertise in the technology sector, including noteworthy positions with well-known firms like Infosys, Google, and Cognizant. He started working with LinkedIn in 2013 when he took on the role of managing the company’s Marketing Solutions (LMS) division in India. In order to lead the creation of LMS’ Online Sales Organization (OSO) for the Asia Pacific and China markets, Gupta subsequently moved to Singapore in 2016.
Remarkably, Gupta took on the crucial position of country manager for India on September 2, 2019, when LinkedIn had more than 630 million members globally, including more than 57 million users in India. LinkedIn’s user base in India has grown to over 115 million during his management, a notable accomplishment.
