With effect from June 1, Anuradha Razdan, who is presently the Executive Director of HR at HUL and the Chief HR Officer for South Asia, will take on a global position as Unilever’s Chief Reward and Organization Development Officer

BP Biddappa has been appointed by Hindustan Unilever as Executive Director, HR, and Chief People, Transformation, and Sustainability Officer for the South Asia region, with effect from June 1st.

According to a release, Biddappa will also become a whole-time director on the HUL Board, pending approval from shareholders.

With effect from June 1, 2024, Anuradha Razdan, who is presently the Executive Director of Human Resources at HUL and the Chief HR Officer for South Asia, will take on a global position as Unilever’s Chief Reward and Organization Development Officer.

Biddappa is the Head of Global Employee Relations at Unilever and the Chief Human Resources Officer at Global Home Care.

According to the statement, Biddappa played a key role in starting the Prabhat community development program, which has affected over 10 million Indians to date, and developing a more focused and agile business unit framework in South Asia during his previous employment with HUL.

According to the release, Biddappa will spearhead transformative initiatives from a corporate, organizational, and environmental standpoint, in addition to leading the people’s agenda for South Asia.

After working at a HUL plant for a while, Biddappa began his thirty-year career in a number of capacities across multiple Unilever businesses, including business partnership and leadership development. He also oversaw HR for Unilever in Bangladesh, India, and the Maghreb.

For the past five years, Razdan has served as HUL’s Executive Director of Human Resources and the CHRO for South Asia. She assisted the company in navigating the COVID epidemic during her time there.

The announcement stated that the corporation successfully completed the smooth people integration for the HUL-GSK CH merger under her direction.

“An accomplished HR leader with over three decades of experience, Biddappa comes with immense knowledge of transformation and organizational development,” stated Rohit Jawa, CEO and Managing Director of HUL. His capable direction and leadership will enable the company to change and move closer to our future-ready agenda.”

Jawa expressed gratitude to Razdan for her commitment to the company and stated, “Anuradha is recognized for her capacity to develop and implement a strategic people agenda that is business-focused. Over the previous five years, she has been an integral part of the HUL Leadership Team. Her selection for a high leadership position at Unilever is more evidence of the exceptional talent in India.”
