Chief executive officer of ICICI Bank’s card, digital payments, prepaid, consumer finance, e-commerce, and merchant ecosystems, Bijith Bhaskar, left on May 18, the bank announced on Friday.
Bhaskar was a member of the senior management personnel group, according to an exchange filing from ICICI Bank, and his resignation has been accepted.
In his resignation letter, Bhaskar said that his decision was “based purely on personal reasons to pursue opportunities outside the bank.”
Bhaskar has spent twenty-one years working at the bank.
In the fourth quarter (Q4) of the previous fiscal year, the nation’s second-biggest private sector lender reported a 17.38% gain in net profit to Rs 10,707 crore. Net interest income (NII) of ICICI Bank increased by 8% to Rs 19,093 crore during the quarter.
