The latest cryptocurrency exchange to launch in Southeast Asia, where companies like Coinbase, Zipmex, and Gemini have established bases, is Gulf Binance, a joint venture between Binance and Thailand’s Gulf Innova.
The exchange, which is called Gulf Binance, will function as an exchange and brokerage platform that allows users to buy and sell digital assets with local currency pairings, according to a statement.
Gulf Binance received a license to operate from Thailand’s finance ministry in May 2023 and was subsequently approved to offer digital asset exchange services.
