Dana Deasy has been named Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Data Analytics and Chief Information and Digital Officer at Boeing.
On December 31, 2024, Deasy took over the position, managing data and analytics, information security, and all facets of information technology. He will join Boeing’s Executive Council and will answer directly to Kelly Ortberg, the company’s president and CEO.
“Dana is a well-respected, global technology leader who has a track record of delivering on innovative technologies across large and complex organisations,” said Ortberg. “With the need to stay vigilant to protect against cyber threats, and emerging technologies like artificial intelligence playing a larger role across all industries, our IT team will have a key role as we focus on meeting our safety and quality goals, delivering reliably for our customers, and positioning ourselves for the future.”
Deasy has a successful career spanning several sectors and brings to Boeing more than 40 years of technological and leadership expertise. He most recently worked for the U.S. Department of Defense as the Chief Information Officer. He had previously worked in high technological positions at General Motors, BP, and JPMorgan Chase. He started his career with Rockwell’s Space Systems Division in information management.
Susan Doniz, who left the firm in late 2023, is succeeded by Deasy.
As it navigates a future driven by technology, Boeing hopes to improve operational efficiency, foster creativity, and fortify its digital skills using Deasy’s experience.
