Bombay Stock Exchange appoints Ramesh Gurram as CISO

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has named Ramesh Gurram as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Ramesh provides a plethora of knowledge for this position from his more than two decades of experience in technology and information security.

Ramesh spent more than three years as the CISO at Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd., where he established the information security department from the bottom up, prior to joining BSE. In addition to designing an on-site Cyber Security Operations Centre outfitted with cutting-edge SOC technologies, he successfully established and operationalized IS governance, risk, and compliance management processes. In addition, Ramesh oversaw privacy and data security policies and made sure that national and international cybersecurity regulations were followed.

Before that, Ramesh was the Chief Information Security Manager at Bank of Baroda, where he was in charge of managing compliance, spearheading projects for safe digital transformation, and implementing cutting-edge security measures. Prior to this, Ramesh oversaw cybersecurity audits, data governance, and digital forensic preparation at the State Bank of India.

In the Indian Air Force, where he spent 20 years overseeing IT and security operations, disaster recovery plans, and security assessments, Ramesh started his illustrious career.
