CIO News, a digital media firm, announces the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the MSME Promotion Council of India.
The signing ceremony took place on June 30, 2023, at the “MSME SCALE UP SUMMIT 2023” Event at The Orchid Hotel, Mumbai. CIO News was also the media partner for the event.
Dignitaries present during the signing ceremony were Khushbu Soni, Chief Editor and Founder of CIO News, and Dr. E. Muthuraman, Chairman, All India, of the MSME Promotion Council of India.
Over the last five decades, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy, contributing significantly to the economic and social development of the country by fostering entrepreneurship and generating the largest employment opportunities at a comparatively lower capital cost.
As per the MoU, Mumbai-based CIO News will promote Media services for 60 million+ MSME’s in India. The MSMEs will get a platform to promote their latest news on CIONews’ website.
The signing ceremony was followed by a panel discussion on the topic: “Digitalisation – Disrupting the MSME Industry”, moderated by Khushbu Soni. The speakers include Kaushik Banerjee, Vice President of BetterPlace; Rachana Chowdhary, Founder MSME Development Center & Director of MediaValueWorks; and Amit Vadera, Managing Director of Protiviti. The speakers shared their insights on the evolution of technology over the years, the ways in which technology has benefitted the MSME sector, and how the MSME sector is growing with the advancement of technology.
