Telangana government has created 4,000 new posts for ICCC, Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing and Cyber Security Bureau

The newly-formed Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB), which is being set up at Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, is designated as a notified police station, said Telangana Police.

Two floors where TSCSB office is coming up were visited by the director general of police Anjani Kumar on Monday. Officials are planning to inagurate the facility in April. The DGP took stock of the ongoing works. He said the new bureau will be fully functional a year from now.

As per GO 188, Telangana government has created 4,000 new posts for ICCC, Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing and Cyber Security Bureau. “Almost, about 500 posts have been sanctioned for the TSCSB,” an official said.

The bureau will have the helpline, state cyber control room, central monitoring unit, data aggregation and analysis unit, threat intelligence unit, forensic support unit and investigation and prosecution support unit.

Officers are being identified for specialised training in handling crypto currency frauds, officials said. “To have special focus on social media and its misuse, a seperate vertical is being created to nab the persons who misuse social media,” a police official said.
