CyberSecurity Malaysia and Recorded Future, the biggest threat intelligence firm in the world, announced the signing of a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), creating a new framework for their joint defence against future cyberthreats.

Mr. Jonathan Luff, the Chief of Staff at Recorded Future, and YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Bin Abdul Wahab FASc., the Chief Executive Officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. In the meantime, YBrs. Roshdi bin Haji Ahmad, Chief Operating Officer representing CyberSecurity Malaysia, and Mr. Jonathan Luff, Chief of Staff of Recorded Future, conducted the formal MoU exchanging ceremony.

The MoU emphasizes both sides’ dedication to bolstering the country’s cybersecurity defences against ever-more-complex attacks. In order to maintain Malaysia’s cybersecurity at the highest level going forward, this Memorandum of Understanding will prioritize the development of technical, organizational, and analytical skills.

YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Haji Amirudin Bin Abdul Wahab FASc, Chief Executive Officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia, stating, “This partnership marks a crucial advancement in strengthening Malaysia’s cybersecurity capabilities. It allows us to harness advanced threat intelligence and innovative technological solutions, which are vital for developing a skilled workforce capable of identifying vulnerabilities and effectively responding to emerging threats. In today’s world, where cyber threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated and widespread, this collaboration highlights our dedication to proactive cybersecurity measures, ensuring we stay one step ahead of potential adversaries.”

Recorded Future’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Jonathan Luff, said: “Recorded Future is committed to strengthening Malaysia’s cybersecurity defence by partnering with CyberSecurity Malaysia to address the growing cyber threats in the country.
