At BEML, Satpathy is presently the Executive Director – HR.
Debi Prasad Satpathy has been appointed as the Director – Human Resources at BEML, an Indian public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Defence (previously known as Bharat Earth Movers Limited).
The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), which examined 11 applicants for the post on March 11, made the appointment following a selection procedure, according to a statement.
At BEML, Satpathy is presently the Executive Director – HR.
In addition to leading the personnel department of BEML’s rail coach unit at the Bangalore Complex, where he actively participated in the introduction of SAP HCM modules and the creation of custom IT modules for HR procedures, he joined BEML, Bangalore, in 2011 as head of the Industrial Relations and Recruitment Department.
Satpathy has worked in the state and federal governments for more than 30 years in the human resources and development fields. At the Hindustan Paper Corporation’s Nagaon Paper Mill in Assam, he started his professional career as an executive trainee.
According to the statement, he has been instrumental in negotiating salary adjustments and several long-term agreements with labor unions.
Satpathy graduated from Berhampur University with an MA in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
