Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida reminded beneficiaries not to fall into the trap of cybercriminals, not to share their bank account details, and not to click on any strange link ahead of Tuesday’s commencement of the Subhadra Yojana.
“We can understand that there is excitement regarding the scheme, but the beneficiaries should remain alert and must not fall into the trap of fraudsters. We have received information that one beneficiary has lost Rs 12,000 in a fraud case,” Parida said. “The first installment of the scheme will be deposited in the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through direct benefit transfer,” Parida said, adding that the first installment will be given to everyone who did not receive the Re 1 trial transaction on Sunday.
To test the transaction’s success, the state government moved Re 1 to the accounts of Subhadra Yojana eligible beneficiaries on Sunday. According to official sources, it was carried out to guarantee that funds were effectively transferred to the beneficiaries’ accounts and that the procedure was ongoing. Parida gave the qualified women her word that they would get all benefits and that the registration procedure would go on until the final beneficiary was added to the program.
“I request all beneficiaries not to get misguided or misled by rumors or false information being spread about the scheme. After registering under the scheme by following the guidelines, they can be rest assured that the amount will be deposited in their accounts,” she said.
More than 65 lakh beneficiaries had signed up for the program as of Monday.
