According to the policy maker at ECB, upcoming digital euro payments will allow citizens in the 20 nations to share a single currency

Joachim Nagel, the policymaker at the European Central Bank, stated on Thursday that he believes it will be possible to pay with the digital euro in around five years.

According to the president of Germany’s Bundesbank, the digital version of the euro, which will allow citizens in the 20 nations that share the single currency to make secure and free digital payments, is “a huge IT project.”
