Mohan Yadav, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, stated on Sunday that drone technology may be applied in many parts of the state. Speaking to a crowd during the opening of a drone training facility in Indore, he stated that the use of drone technology in MP is even more crucial because it is the second-largest state in India in terms of land, behind Rajasthan.
Yadav said drones are presently utilized in the agriculture industry to spray fertilizer and pesticides, describing drone technology as a field full of potential.
He predicted that drone usage will rise in several fields in the future. According to Yadav, this technology may also be used to control crowds and traffic during religious festivals like the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, which will take place in Ujjain in 2028.
The Madhya Pradesh Flying Club and the nonprofit Kasturba Gram have partnered to create the drone training facility.
Drone technology is one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s favorite topics, according to Yadav, and the nation is leading the way in this area under his direction.
According to him, MP is working to realize Modi’s goal of making India a worldwide center for drone technology by 2030.
Yadav requested that the heads of the drone center provide a thorough plan to the Science and Technology Department outlining the state’s drone technology training program and its possible advantages for rural communities.
According to Milind Mahajan, Honorary Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Flying Club, drone training facilities would be established provided the state government arranges for grants and scholarships.
