F5 welcomes Mohan Veloo as CTO for APCJ

As F5 continues to transform application security inside contemporary infrastructure landscapes, Veloo will be in charge of establishing the company’s technological vision for the area.

Mohan Veloo was named by F5 as the chief technology officer (CTO) for Asia-Pacific, China, and Japan (APCJ), with effect from April 30, 2024.

The company made a point of highlighting its dedication to providing APCJ organizations with cutting-edge technical solutions that will enable them to prosper in the AI era in a statement. As F5 continues to transform application security inside contemporary infrastructure landscapes, Veloo will be in charge of establishing the company’s technological vision for the area.

Veloo is a seasoned senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in the information technology industry. He has a deep enthusiasm for apps and the connectivity, security, and functionality of them. Prior to joining prominent technology providers, he worked for more than ten years at Oracle, where he held senior leadership positions in solutions engineering.

Veloo, who has been with F5 for almost ten years, returns with considerable knowledge from his former positions as Vice President of Global Solutions Engineering and Vice President of Solutions Engineering for APCJ. Veloo was Vice President of Solutions Consulting at Zscaler prior to his return.

“In the dynamic landscape of today’s digital economy, businesses across all industries are not only adapting but also innovating in the face of expanding cybersecurity risks. F5’s portfolio enables enterprises to become more agile and secure,” Kunal Anand, CTO, F5 said. He added, “With his profound expertise in application services and solution architecture, Veloo is uniquely qualified for this pivotal role. His appointment underscores our commitment to leading the digital transformation journey with visionary leadership and advanced technology.”

Meanwhile, Adam Judd, Senior Vice President of APCJ Sales, F5, said, “We are delighted to welcome Veloo back to F5 as our new CTO. His extensive expertise and strong technical leadership will be crucial to our continued success in the region. We are confident that his strategic vision and unwavering commitment to excellence will be instrumental in strengthening F5’s commitment to being an AI enabler, as we help organisations across the region protect and power every application, everywhere.”

Veloo’s appointment comes at a momentous time when APCJ organizations are leveraging AI to their full potential. However, there are drawbacks to the growing use of AI in the region, such as its overwhelming complexity and changing danger scenarios. In response, F5 has incorporated AI into a variety of its product offerings to assist clients in managing multicloud application infrastructures effectively and defending against complex attacks.

With Veloo’s leadership, F5 will be even more dominant in the area when it comes to multicloud application security and delivery. Additionally, he will spot chances in developing fields to keep F5 on the cutting edge.

“I am thrilled to be returning to F5 and honored to be driving the company’s technology vision in the region,” Veloo said, adding that this is a time when application delivery and security have never been more important and complex. “I am particularly excited about the opportunities in leveraging AI to easily optimise application performance, resilience, and security, anywhere. I look forward to working with our fantastic teams to continue empowering APCJ organisations to thrive with comprehensive, AI-ready solutions,” he said.
