Spirit Airlines, a low-cost airline, said on Monday that Fred Cromer has been named chief financial officer (CFO), effective July 8.

Cromer, who led aviation tech company Xwing as CEO most recently, was formerly employed at Bombardier Commercial Aircraft from 2015 to 2020.

To facilitate a smooth transition, he will collaborate with temporary CFO Brian McMenamy, who will continue in a senior finance role, the business said in a statement.
