Rolf Habben Jansen has been a member of the Executive Board since April 1, 2014, and the CEO of Hapag-Lloyd AG since July 1, 2014.
The Supervisory Board of Hapag-Lloyd AG has authorized the early renewal of the contracts of CEO Rolf Habben Jansen and Chief Information Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer (CIO/CHRO) Donya-Florence Amer.
According to Hapag-Lloyd, Jansen’s contract was originally slated to expire on March 31, 2027, but has now been extended for five years, until March 31, 2029.
Furthermore, Donya-Florence Amer’s contract as CIO/CHRO has been extended for an additional five years, until January 31, 2030.
Rolf Habben Jansen has been a member of the Executive Board since April 1, 2014, and the CEO of Hapag-Lloyd AG since July 1, 2014.
Michael Behrendt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hapag-Lloyd AG, stated, “Rolf Habben Jansen has done a fantastic job for Hapag-Lloyd for nearly a decade. During this time, he has consistently evolved the company conceptually, greatly internationalized it, and kept it safely on a development path despite occasional rough seas.
“By renewing the appointment of Rolf Habben Jansen, the Supervisory Board is focusing on continuity and is at the same time convinced that this will make an important contribution to the continued success story of Hapag-Lloyd.”
Amer was appointed Chief Information Officer of Hapag-Lloyd AG on February 1, 2022. She has been the CHRO since May 1, 2022.
Behrendt continued, “Over the past two years, Donya-Florence Amer and her teams have played a vital role in developing the company’s strategically important digital transformation in all business areas.
“In addition, she successfully implemented significant reforms in human resources and established the Hapag-Lloyd Academy as a global focus for training and continuing education within the company. Our sector is undergoing a significant transition, so having the right people with the right capabilities on board is critical to our success.”
Hapag-Lloyd recently published its annual report for 2023, which shows a considerable reduction in earnings.
