Stefano Maccaglia, a cyber-security veteran joins NetWitness, bringing a deep technical knowledge and intimate understanding of customer needs to the management of critical services offerings – Incident Response services.
A globally trusted partner for some of the world’s largest and most security sensitive organisations, NetWitness, an RSA business, today announced that it has appointed cyber-security industry veteran Stefano Maccaglia to manage the company’s (IR) Incident Response services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. NetWitness Incident Response services help enterprises identify cyber threats quickly and take quick action to mitigate incidents.
Maccaglia joined RSA in 2013 and including ransom-ware, cyber espionage, industrial control systems attacks, among others, he has investigated and worked on numerous incidents for enterprises. Prior to joining RSA, Maccaglia held various research and consultant positions, where he worked for worldwide organisations like Digital, HP and Accenture.
“I am thrilled to transition into a managerial role in the NetWitness Incident Response services team, having been part of it since its inception. The security challenges inherent in our field continue to evolve, becoming more complex every year, requiring our team to continue working side-by-side with customers to ensure effective reactive capabilities when the customer needs them the most”, said Maccaglia. “What remains essential is that our customers know they can turn to NetWitness when they suspect a breach is occurring in their infrastructures”.
Maccaglia’s appointment follows on from the hiring of Massimo Vulpiani as the lead in EMEA Sales.
Including incident discovery, incident response, controlled attack and response exercises, ransom-ware defence cloud services, among others, NetWitness Incident Response services comprise a range of services.
