“To make it easier and faster for us to make decisions and help us to more effectively grow revenue and hires,” Indeed CEO stated that the goal of the organization-simplifying move is to increase efficiency.
The online job search and hiring platform Indeed announced on Monday that it would be laying off roughly 1,000 workers, or about 8% of its workforce. “I am sad to share the news that we have made the difficult decision to reduce our headcount through a layoff,” Indeed CEO Chris Hyams wrote in a message to the staff.
“To make it easier and faster for us to make decisions and help us to more effectively grow revenue and hires,” the CEO stated that the goal of the organization-simplifying move is to increase efficiency. Hyams added, “We anticipate that we will be letting approximately 1,000 people go, representing ~8% of the company.” According to Hyams, the US is the primary location for the staff cutbacks, which affect several areas and organizations but are mostly centered in R&D and select go-to-market teams.
