According to a legally necessary notice submitted with the U.S. government on April 12 and disclosed on Thursday, the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan verified that 13.4 million residents had their information stolen in a data breach.
One of the top healthcare organizations in the United States is Kaiser Permanente, which is part of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan.
According to Kaiser Permanente, no member’s or patient’s confidential information has ever been misused.
In an email, Kaiser stated, “We are informing about 13.4 million current and former members and patients who accessed our websites and mobile applications out of an abundance of caution.”
The Department of Health and Human Services’ breach notification portal has information about the Kaiser issue.
