Major takes over for Alan May, who joined the company in 2015 and has been the CPO.
Kristin Major has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer (CPO) at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), with effect from February 1.
According to a release, Major will answer to Antonio Neri, President and Chief Executive Officer of HPE.
Major takes over for Alan May, who joined the company in 2015 and has been the CPO.
Major is currently the Chief Talent Officer and Senior Vice President of Human Resources at HPE.
Major has overseen HR for HPE GreenLake, HPE Aruba Networking, the HPE Transformation Office, and HPE’s Chief Technology Officer during her tenure at HPE. Major began working with HPE in 2011.
Major worked as a labor and employment lawyer at Palo Alto, California’s Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom before joining HPE.

Major completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arizona before earning her law degree from Georgetown University.
